Behavior-Based Interviewing

Hiring the right person is critical to every company's and leader’s success. Selecting people who possess skills and experience appropriate for the job and are a good organizational fit results in greater staff retention, increased productivity, better teamwork, higher staff morale, and enhanced company reputation.

Behavior-based interviewing enables you to tap into a candidate’s past experiences to determine their ability to perform the job. You will learn about an interviewee’s actual knowledge, skills, and abilities as demonstrated in previous positions, rather than being told what the interviewee thinks you want to hear. Behavior-based interviewing will give you an edge in selecting the person who will make the most successful contribution to your organization.

This training program is designed to help participants gain the skills needed to prepare for and conduct behavior-based interviews and to hire the best-qualified person for the position. Skills will be developed in the following areas: identifying job skills and competencies; advance preparation for the interview; conducting the interview; and selecting the right candidate.
